Nasia Trachonitou cooperates with the traditional music ensemble ANERADA. During Summer 2001 they gave a lot of concerts in Cyprus with traditional music and songs from Cyprus and the Greek islands. The concerts had a great success and the people of Cyprus as well as foreigners had the chance to enjoy the culture of Cyprus. 

The ANERADA Music Ensemble consists of the following traditional musicians

Michalis Elia - Violin                                                                                   

Makis Papadopoulos -  Vocals and Lute                                                                                 

Takis Pisias - Accordeon      

Andreas Trachonitis - Tuberlec                       

Nicolas Pisias -  vocals                       

Katerina Andreou - vocals

                                          

The first part of the concert consist of well known traditional folk songs from Cyprus, such as “Yiasemi”, “Loulla mou Maroulla mou” , “Tillirkotissa” , “Ayapisa tin pou karkias” etc.

The second part of the concert consist of well known traditional songs composed by Achilleas Limbouridis with lyrics by famous Cypriot poets like Demetris Lipertis and Costas Montis, such as “Mavra Madkia”, “Drosoulla”, “Aeroudi” , “Appomeni” , “Milia” and others.

The final part of the concert consist of popular traditional songs from the Greek islands like “Liyaria”, “Eyeo” , “Agapo ena varkari ”, “Trata kourellou”, “Anathema se thalassa” and others.

The above  photos were taken from the concert during the cultural festival of the University of Cyprus. The concert took place on the 20th June 2001, in the premises of the cultural center of the University of Cyprus at Axiotheas street. The cultural center is very close to the Ayios Kassianos elementary school, occupied by the Turkish Army since 1974, and by the green line in Nicosia, the only divided city in Europe.
